How much does Group Seating cost?

Groups of 1-3 people may request a Mini Group for no cost. Group Seating for Small Groups of 4-6 is $30 and for Large Groups of 7-12 is $60.

All remaining seats that are not filled by the purchaser by the group seating deadline of February 10th will be assigned to smaller groups, which will fill each table to 12 students.

All students must sign up for group seating to be seated in the ballroom for dinner. Guests are not automatically seated with their host.

I'm coming with just a couple friends, and we want to sit together. Do I have to pay for Group Seating?

No. Groups of 1-3 people may request Mini Group seating, which allows you to be seated together and does not require a purchase. Mini Groups are not eligible to link their reservations with another group.You must remove or decline your mini group seating to sit in a small or large group reservation, and may do so anytime until the deadline of February 10th.

How do I request Mini Group Seating?

Sign on to your prom account and click on the name of the student who will be the Mini Group Host. Scroll to the bottom of the student page and you will see a "Mini Group" box. Click where indicated and you will be taken to a page to create your Mini Group.

Mini Groups are free for groups of 1-3 people. Mini groups can not request to be linked to other groups.

What is a Group Host?

The person who requests a Mini Group (1-3 people) or purchases a Small (4-6) or Large (7-12) Group Seating is the Group Host. They are automatically seated with the group. Hosts are responsible to send invitations to the group members and may add and delete group members as appropriate. Hosts must also follow up with friends that have not confirmed a seat in their group before the deadline.

All students must sign up for group seating to be seated in the ballroom for dinner. Guests are not automatically seated with their host.

How can I be removed from a Group Seating Roster?

The Group Host can delete any group member from the roster, even after the member has confirmed seating.

You may also decline the invitation yourself after you have accepted it by going to your Family Profile page, click on the "In-Group" icon beside your name, and then decline the invitation on the Group Reservation Confirmation page.

You can only be confirmed with one group at a time.

Can an adult chaperone sit with a student group?

No. Chaperones are seated with other adults at their own tables. Parent volunteers working in the ballroom should never sit at a student table, even if it is the table that their student is confirmed at.

What if my group has more than 12 people?

Small Group (4-6 people) or Large Group (7-12 people) hosts may request to be linked together and placed adjacent to another Group Seating. We will make every attempt to honor these requests. You may request multiple groups to be seated nearby by listing all of the other reservation hosts.

Sorry, but Mini Groups (1-3 people) may not request Linked Seating, since these are intended to be for groups of only 3 students or less.

How do I find my seating in the dining room?

Each table in the ballroom is numbered. Your table number will be with the materials you receive when you check-in at prom. Chaperones and other parent volunteers are available to help you find your table once you enter the dining room.

Can I transfer my Group Seating purchase?

Yes. Submit a Transfer Request and we'll let you know when the transfer is complete. The transfer must be made by the deadline of February 10th.

Group seating is non-refundable.
